On June 14-16, 2002, I will be participating in a very special and powerful event in the fight against breast cancer. It's call the Avon Breast Cancer 3-Day.

Along with 7,000 other people, I will walk 60 miles from Kenosha, WI to downtown Chicago. The Avon effort hopes to raise over $25 million for awareness and early detection of breast cancer. The net proceeds from the event will benefit Avon's Breast Cancer Awareness Crusade, a non-profit initiative of Avon Products, Inc. In partnership with the National Alliance of Breast Cancer Organizations (NABCO), grants are awarded to non-profit organizations that educate women about the facts of breast cancer and the benefits of early detection and treatment.

Why am I doing this?
I am walking for my friends that have suffered from this disease. I am also walking to prove to myself that I can do this.
